The Deer Park Art League was formed in October, 1976, in Deer Park, Texas. Ann Knox was the first President.

Lorna Garrett,  Bea Staton and Dearon Baily are charter members and are still active in the league today. The league meets once a month and reserves the month of December for the holidays to spend with family and friends.

Each meeting we have a demonstrator and they pass on their knowledge and techniques to all involved and interested.

Through out the year, we have workshops in various medias and are usually conducted by its own members. We are a proud sponsor of the Deer Park High School Art Show and award the winning student an educational scholarship!

Our Deer Park Art League San Jacinto Show is usually held in March and we have other shows throughout the year.
